How can we help you?

Stitching is the signature element in my work. Fine silver or 18k or 22k gold wire is stitched through the metal surface to create layered texture and dimensionality.

The stitches themselves are durable, but they are not used to hold the jewelry together. Each piece is constructed using traditional jewelry techniques such as soldering to ensure strength and longevity.

The stitched lines create texture and pattern across the metal surface. Each stitch is intentionally placed to build the overall composition.

Each piece is stitched with fine silver or high-karat gold wire, creating subtle texture and dimensionality across the surface of the metal.

This stitching technique is unusual in jewelry and gives the work depth that changes as light moves across the surface.

The jewelry is designed with both form and wearability in mind so it feels natural and comfortable when worn.

I exhibit at select juried art shows throughout the year.See upcoming shows HERE:

My work combines precious metals with stitched fine silver or high-karat gold wire to create layered surfaces and contrast.

Argentium Silver - Argentium silver has a brighter white color than traditional sterling silver and is highly tarnish resistant. It’s also hypoallergenic.

Fine Silver - Fine silver wire (99.9% pure silver) is used for stitching in many designs.

22k Gold Wire - Some pieces feature stitching in 22k gold wire, creating warm contrast against silver.

Bi-Metal - Bi-metal combines a layer of 22k gold bonded to sterling silver. This gold layer is much thicker than plating or vermeil and will not wear away.

Oxidized Silver - Some pieces are intentionally darkened to create contrast between silver, gold, and shadow.

Pearls - Many designs incorporate freshwater baroque pearls or Tahitian pearls.

Natural Stones - If a design includes gemstones, the stone type will be listed in the product description. All stones used are natural and free of color enhancements.

Most pieces are made with Argentium silver, which is brighter than traditional sterling silver and highly tarnish resistant.

The stitching is always done with fine silver or high-karat gold, both of which resist tarnishing.

With normal wear and occasional cleaning with soap and water, the jewelry is easy to maintain.

Bracelets and cuffs are available in three sizes:

Small — 6" interior circumferenceMedium — 6.5" interior circumferenceLarge — 7" interior circumference

To measure your wrist, wrap a piece of string or measuring tape around your wrist and measure the length.

For example, if your wrist measures 6 inches, a medium bracelet will usually provide the most comfortable fit.

If you need help choosing a size, email info@suzanneschwartzjewelry.com.

Most pieces can be cleaned with cool water and soap. I like using Dawn dishwashing liquid.

  1. Wash gently with your fingers

  2. Rinse with cool water

  3. Dry with a soft cotton cloth or allow it to air dry

Avoid polishing cloths on stitched or oxidized surfaces.

Wash oxidized pieces with cool soapy water only.

Avoid brushes or polishing cloths, which may remove the darkened finish.

Dry completely to avoid water spots.

Wash pearls with soap and water. Dawn dishwashing liquid works well.

Dry with a soft cloth.

Remove jewelry before swimming, showering, or sleeping.

Chlorine, salt water, and prolonged exposure to hot water may affect metals and pearls.

If you ever have questions about cleaning or maintaining your jewelry, email me.

I’m happy to clean Suzanne Schwartz Jewelry pieces free of charge. You can bring them to a show or mail them to the studio.

Argentium silver is tarnish resistant, but proper storage helps maintain the bright finish over time. If you love bright, tarnish-free jewelry, store your pieces in a sealed zip-lock bag when they’re not being worn. Intercept tabs placed inside the bag with your jewelry add another layer of protection against oxidation. Search Intercept tabs online to find them.

Body oils and perspiration can dull the surface of jewelry over time. I gently wash my jewelry with Dawn dishwashing liquid and cold water, then dry it immediately by waving it in the air or gently dabbing it with a clean towel.

Sometimes. In certain designs it is possible to convert a post earring into a hanging style.

Because each piece is constructed differently, I evaluate this on a case-by-case basis.

Most necklaces include adjustable chains, allowing you to vary the length slightly.

If you prefer a different length, I can often customize the chain. Email before ordering to discuss options.

Yes. Many necklaces include adjustable chains so they can be worn at slightly different lengths. This makes layering easy while keeping each piece visible.

Yes. Because the materials and stitching technique remain consistent, pieces often complement one another even if they were purchased years apart.

Many customers begin with one piece and later add others over time. The designs are intended to work together naturally rather than feel overly matched.
